About

Shannon Stehmeier brings more than 33 years of experience in education to her role at ICP-Teams, where she serves as Director of Field Operations & Academic Services. Her career began in the classroom as a teacher and grew steadily into district-level leadership in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, giving her a rare, ground-up understanding of what students and educators need to succeed — from the first day of instruction through the pathways that carry students into their futures.

Most recently, Shannon served as Director of Alternative Licensure/CMS Teaching Residency at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where she built and led one of the first state-approved, district-run teaching residency programs in North Carolina. In that role, she designed large-scale educator preparation and licensure systems serving thousands of certified staff, managed multimillion-dollar Title I and Title II budgets, and expanded pipeline programs to address critical workforce shortages in high-need content areas. Her work consistently outperformed state averages in program completion and educator retention, and she led cross-functional teams through complex compliance, accreditation, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Throughout her career, Shannon has specialized in translating big goals — whether legislative mandates or organizational strategy — into practical systems that get results.
