At ICP TEAMS, we guide students through every step of unlocking financial aid, scholarships, and grants to make higher education affordable. We believe in the power of granting scholarships to remove barriers for aspiring scholars, grounded in our commitment to giving back to the community and fostering a lifelong mindset to never stop learning.
We prepare students to qualify for merit-based awards, identify opportunities tailored to their unique interests and fields of study, and polish grant essays while keeping every application on schedule. Additionally, we demystify the FAFSA process and show families how to leverage IRS Publication 970 strategies to maximize college savings and tax credits. These targeted services streamline the entire financial planning process, helping our families minimize student loan debt and invest wisely in their future.

ICP TEAMS Partial Scholarship
Applied directly toward the total cost of any ICP TEAMS program.
FULL AWARD
Full Legacy Scholarship
Covers a complete ICP TEAMS 8th–12th grade prep program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Achievement: min. 3.5 GPA
- Educational Goals: intent to attend a 4-year college or higher
- Essay Submission: pivotal life story essay

CHRISTINA GASPARD SCHOLARSHIP
The Christina Gaspard Memorial Scholarships
In honoring the legacy of Christina Gaspard, ICP TEAMS is proud to offer two dedicated scholarships designed to remove financial barriers and empower promising scholars locally and globally:
FULL TUITION
Full ICP TEAMS Program Scholarship
Covers an 8th through 12th-grade prep program for a selected student in need.
$1,000
International Secondary Education Grant
Extended to an educational organization in Jamaica to support students’ secondary education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Excellence: min. 3.5 GPA
- Personal Essay: a story of transformation

Jointly selected by ICP TEAMS leadership and members of Christina’s close-knit work family and colleagues.
STEVE SHELTON SCHOLARSHIP
Honoring Exceptional Service: The Steven Charles Shelton Memorial Scholarship
At ICP TEAMS, we are proud to honor Master Sergeant Steven Charles Shelton, whose 25-year U.S. Army career and decade with the Department of Defense reflected an unwavering commitment to leadership and public service. In recognition of his distinguished career, multiple overseas deployments, and lasting legacy, we have established a student scholarship in his memory.
A native of Rockingham, NC, MSG Shelton served as a member of the Pershing Missile program and spent two decades as a Military Police officer before continuing his service at the NSA. Though he passed away in 2022, his dedication to helping others endures through his final gift of organ donation and through the scholars supported by this award.
Scholarship Details
- Eligibility: Awarded to a selected JROTC student in need of a full program offer from 8th–12th grade.
- Academic Standard: Minimum 3.5 GPA required.
- Essay: Submit a personal essay sharing a pivotal life story that shaped your character.
- Selection: Recipients are chosen jointly by ICP TEAMS leadership and Steve’s family.
DAWN MATTERS SCHOLARSHIP
Honoring a Passionate Educator: The Dawn Matters Memorial Scholarship
At ICP TEAMS, we are proud to honor Dawn Matters, an extraordinary educator and vibrant spirit whose passion transformed lives both in and out of the classroom. Dawn possessed a genuine drive to help every student succeed, regardless of the barriers they faced. Naturally inventive, creative, and empowering, she served the students of Smoky Row Elementary from August 2003 through December 2017 before her time was cut short following a courageous battle with breast cancer. In recognition of her loving heart and lasting impact, we are honored to offer a scholarship in her memory.
Scholarship Details
Award: A $1,000 scholarship applied toward the cost of our program or college entrance fees.
Academic Standard: Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
Essay: Submit a personal essay sharing what success looks like and means to you.
Selection: Recipients are chosen jointly by ICP TEAMS leadership and Dawn’s family.
